Philadelphia-Israel Chamber of Commerce Board Member Eric B. Kmiec, Ph.D., Director, Gene Editing Institute of the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center & Research Institute at Christiana Care Health System, will host members of the PICC’s Life Sciences & Bio Community and friends for our quarterly life sciences and bio networking event.
Dr. Kmiec is a leading gene editing researcher, with over 20 years of experience in the field. He holds funding from the National Institutes of Health, the National Science Foundation and the U.S.-Israel Binational Industrial Research and Development (BIRD) Foundation, among others.
Dr. Kmiec will present on Christiana Care’s efforts to reduce lung cancer using an integrated approach starting with behavioral studies for smoking cessation to reducing the level of chemotherapy required using gene editing. His presentation will also feature his cancer diagnostic BIRD Foundation project in partnership with NovellusDx, an Israeli biotechnology company.
