Jill Matthews leads marketing for Bimbo Bakeries USA’s Acelerada division of smaller brands with high growth potential. In her role, Jill develops and implements brand strategies and marketing efforts including strategy, media, innovation, and insights to drive consumer awareness, trial, and engagement.
Jill brings broad experience in brand strategy and management, consumer insights, innovation, and shopper marketing for both well-loved global brands and entrepreneurial growth brands. Prior to her current role, Jill led her own business, Bright Cactus, a brand strategy and insights firm that provided consulting services as an interim brand leader, developed new global brands, and developed and executed consumer research projects primarily for CPG, retail, and restaurant clients.
Jill received her MBA from Washington University in St. Louis and her BBA from The University of Texas at Austin. Jill is married with three kids and two dogs. She serves as a mentor to MBA students at the University of Texas at Dallas and to families with children who have Type I Diabetes. When not working, you can find Jill speed-walking with her canine coworker, hoping to travel internationally as it’s safe, or playing tennis with her youngest child.
