Amy Zitelman is CEO and cofounder of Soom Foods, the leading purveyors of tahini and tahini products to the American Market.
Amy got her Bachelors in Communication, focusing on interpersonal communication, from the University of Delaware in 2011, taught English in Netanya, Israel in 2012, and officially launched Soom Foods, headquartered in North Kensington, Philadelphia in 2013.
Soom Foods was named the best tahini according to industry experts in The Strategist by New York Mag in 2019 and featured in The New York Times, Food & Wine, Bon Appetit, and other publications for repositioning tahini and complimentary products out of the international aisle and into the pantries of James Beard Award winning chefs and at-home cooks across the country.
Amy was named to Forbes 30 under 30 class of 2018 in Food and Beverage Category.
