Reducing Packaging Footprint – Creating Sustainable Solutions

March 17 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

PICC and PICC Foundation are thrilled to host the second event in our sustainability series featuring the newest technologies in sustainable packaging. Join us at 12pm on March, 17 for a fireside chat on “Reducing Packaging Footprint – Creating Sustainable Solutions” with industry innovators.

Only about 10% of all materials are recycled. Our events address technological gaps, looking for the next best solutions. So, how do we innovate to reduce packaging footprint?

This event is intended to the food and beverage, healthcare, fashion, electronics, and all industries which ship/mail goods, and anyone who cares about sustainability.

Moderator: Karina Sotnik, Founder/CEO, WorldUpstart

Brian Linton, Founder & CEO, United by Blue

Melissa Niebes, Chief Commercial Officer, Federal Package

Gina Herrera, Sr. Director, Brand Partnerships, TerraCycle

Michael Waas, VP, North America, TIPA Corp.

TIPA Corp Ltd., is an Israeli company manufacturing biodegradable plastic packaging. The material used for the packaging is a patent-protected sheet combining plant-based and petroleum-based composition which looks and feels like regular plastic but still decomposes under compost conditions.

United by Blue, based in Philadelphia, is a fashion brand which mission is to be a force for good. Through their commitment to sustainable materials, ethical manufacturing, and a zero-plastic policy, they search for better ways to put the planet first.

TerraCycle is a private U.S.-based recycling business headquartered in Trenton, New Jersey. It primarily runs a volunteer-based recycling platform to collect non-recyclable pre-consumer and post-consumer waste on behalf of corporate donors or municipalities to turn it into raw material to be used in new products.

Eco Smart® by Federal Package® is an earth-conscience sustainability solution for the global personal care market that is fully FDA compliant and made in the USA. This proprietary technology enables plastic components to break down in biologically active environments while providing the same form, fit, and function as our standard line of containers.
