“None of the 11 Israeli companies that visited Philadelphia in October 2014 established U.S. headquarters here. But city officials and business leaders say the dialogue that took place contributed to four Israel-affiliated companies setting up operations in the city over the past 12 months.
During the 2014 visit, the Israeli health care and tech companies scouted the city and met with potential investors, collaborators and clients. One Israeli company told the Philadelphia Business Journal at the time that it would open its U.S. headquarters in the Philadelphia region and two more said they were seriously considering it.
