Jordan Warshafsky, Advisory Board

Jordan Washafsky

Jordan Warshafsky, Partner, Ashton Tweed LTD.

In 2004 Jordan joined his partner Jim Rudman to start and build Ashton Tweed as a leading boutique executive search and interim talent firm specializing in the life sciences.

Previous to Ashton Tweed he served as President of TyRx Pharma, Inc., a private biotechnology company. The company established significant strategic partnerships with companies in the areas of drug delivery, orthopedics and interventional cardiology (CV stents) worth over $100MM in current and future revenues. It raised well over $6.0MM in funding, a significant amount of cash that made possible the continuation and expansion of the company. The company also established an excellent close working relationship with the Technology Transfer group of Rutgers University, the source of the company’s technology. This relationship resulted in positive changes to the TyRx license agreement as well as other significant financial benefits for the company.

Before that Jordan served as the Vice President, Strategic Development for Integra LifeSciences, a manufacturer and marketer of biotechnology/medical devices for neurosurgery, where he helped change the strategic direction of the company making it possible for ILS to grow from a $16MM company to one that is almost $900MM in revenue today. He also served in the capacity of General Manager of the company’s Neurosurgical and Women’s Health Care businesses.

Prior to joining Integra LifeSciences, Jordan was Associate Director, Worldwide Franchise Management at Bristol–Myers Squibb. In that position, he was responsible for the worldwide management of hospital anti-infective products from drug discovery stage through and beyond product launch. Jordan managed the launch of an important new injectable antibiotic while in that position.

Jordan also held the position of Senior Manager, Worldwide Product and Market Planning, Wound & Skin Care, ConvaTec (a div. of Bristol-Myers Squibb). In that position he was responsible for the acquisition/in-licensing of wound care products to expand the company’s product portfolio to help the company grow into new areas of wound care.

Jordan has an M.B.A. in Marketing and Management from Suffolk University in Boston, MA and a B.Sc. in Earth Science from the University of Massachusetts (formerly Boston State College).
