Saluting Companies and Individuals that
have Strengthened Commercial Ties with Israel
(For Immediate Release – Philadelphia February 28, 2018) — The Philadelphia-Israel Chamber of Commerce (PICC) is excited to announce the honorees for its 2018 awards which will be presented at its Annual Dinner on May 22, 2018 in Philadelphia.
The 2018 Yitzhak Rabin Award will be presented to SAP. Mr. Joel Bernstein, Chief Financial Officer, Global Customer Operations at SAP will receive the award on behalf of SAP. The Yitzhak Rabin Award is the highest annual honor bestowed by the PICC.
This year, the PICC will introduce three new awards: the Life Sciences and Bio Innovation Award, the Technology and Innovation Award, and the Life-Time Achievement Award.
The Life Sciences and Bio Innovation Award will honor the Gene Editing Institute of the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center & Research Institute at Christiana Care Health System. Eric B. Kmiec, Ph.D., Director, Gene Editing Institute and a Senior Research Scientist will receive the award.
The Technology and Innovation Award will be presented to Bucks Ventures, LLC to honor developing business, economic and academic relationships among the Israel, India and PA/DE/NJ regions. Accepting the award on behalf of Bucks Ventures and other leaders of these tri-lateral initiatives is Dennis Mehta, Managing Partner of Bucks Ventures.
The Life-Time Achievement Award will salute Bernard Rudnick, Managing Partner of Capgenic Advisors, LLC.

The unique mission of the Philadelphia-Israel Chamber of Commerce is developing business and academic ties between Greater Philadelphia, Southern New Jersey and Delaware, and Israel. The PICC is a non-profit, non-denominational, independent organization focused on creating commercial and investment opportunities between the two regions.
The PICC also represents the US-Israel Binational Industrial Research and Development Foundation (BIRD), which has made more than $10 million in industrial R&D grants regionally to U.S.-Israeli technology ventures (5 grants awarded to PA and DE 2016-2018).
